In 1992 the production of Il Vino dei Poeti, a Prosecco sparkling wine, that opens up to the company the wine market. Since then Bottega have purchased two still wineries, one in Valpolicella and a second in Tuscany, producing a full complement of premium regional and international wines.

The Italian Charmat method is used, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a secondary fermentation in sealed tanks for 40 days. In 2011 after a careful renovation of the historic site in Pianzano, the new Alexander blown glass factory opens. The wide temperature range stimulates an increased production of aromatic compounds, which result in finer and more intense aromas. Bottega Gold is made using the modern Charmat method where by the Prosecco undergoes a 2nd fermentation in vats before being bottled under pressure. The bouquet shows a clear, characteristic, fruity and flowery with scents of Golden apple, Williams pear, acacia flowers and lily of the valley.The area, close to the Venetian prealps, has a temperate climate with mild winters and fresh summers. In 1983, when Aldo Bottega died, his son Sandro took over as President of the company, with the help of his sister Barbara and his brother Stefano.

io sono italiano, and i dont like prosecco as im more of a vino person, but this prosecco is something special, yes it is more expensive than a normal bottle but it is so worth it. The gilded bottle also protects the wine from any source of light, preserving its clean and refreshing aromas.

The elegance, freshness and vitality of its bubbles reflect the beauty and tradition of the territory from which it originates, embroidered by the vineyards, able to stand out for its physical and geographical forms, where the vine has taken on a central role for centuries.
